Overview:

Precision provided scheduling services for the GM Arlington Body Shop Project ($300M).  Phase I consisted of the demolition, relocation, and construction of various buildings located in the new body shop footprint.  Phase II consisted of the construction of the new 1 million sf body shop, Switch yard, and Tank Farm. The $350,000,000 General Motors M5 Plant located in Arlington Texas. Final construction costs are estimated at $1.4 Billion. 

Project Scope:

The Arlington assembly plant produces all of General Motors full-size SUVs. Included in construction are a new body shop, a new paint shop, retooling, new equipment and assembly upgrades. In the past the Arlington, Texas plant has been one of the most profitable plants for General Motors. Because of this it was a top priority to keep the plant operational during all power cutovers from the old substation to the new substation. Precision’s services included full scheduling / project controls and resource loading.
