Our firm provided comprehensive planning and scheduling services for the William Carey University Health Science Building CPM scheduling. This project involved working closely with university stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient delivery. Specifically, we managed the baseline schedule development and provided monthly schedule updates throughout the project.
The William Carey University School of Pharmacy and New Classroom Building comprises two separate structures located on Traditions Campus in Harrison County, Mississippi. The new classroom building serves as a two-story, approximately 17,000-square-foot stand-alone structure. This modern facility includes a large multipurpose room equipped with a catering kitchen. Additionally, it features offices, student laboratories, classrooms, and various ancillary support spaces.
Both buildings showcase a robust construction consisting of high-quality materials. The main elements include a brick and cast stone façade, a prefinished aluminum storefront system, and an asphalt shingle roof. Furthermore, a steel structure supports a concrete slab and a metal deck, while metal studs and light-gauge metal roof trusses provide framing.
As the senior scheduler and project controls experts for this significant project, we played a vital role in developing and maintaining the project schedule. Furthermore, our team meticulously crafted a baseline schedule that included milestones, task durations, and resource allocations. By closely collaborating with construction teams, we addressed potential conflicts early, promoting smoother project execution.
Every month, we delivered updated schedules to reflect progress and changes. This approach allowed stakeholders to visualize the current status of the project and make informed decisions. By identifying potential delays or issues, we maintained open communication channels. Moreover, our transparent process fostered teamwork and ensured that everyone remained aligned.
Our involvement in the William Carey University project brought several benefits. First, our careful scheduling helped optimize resource allocation, minimizing downtime. Second, we established clear timelines, allowing all parties involved to set accurate expectations. Third, our regular updates facilitated proactive planning, addressing any issues before they escalated.
The successful completion of the Health Science Building at William Carey University stands as a testament to our project controls expertise. Through diligent planning and continuous monitoring, we delivered an efficient, high-quality construction process. Moreover, our commitment to excellence has enabled us to support educational institutions effectively. We look forward to applying our knowledge and skills to future projects, ensuring timely delivery and
