Renovate Sterile Processing Services (SPS) Project at the Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center

Overview:

General Scope of Project:

The project consists of renovating approximately 15,200 SF of the existing hospital “D Wing” and a minor renovation of 1,100 SF of temporary swing and kitchen space. Work also included demolition, interior finishes and framing, utility system upgrades, mechanical and electrical systems and repair to road and site drainage.

Precision’s Services:

Precision provided forensic scheduling consulting services to assist with Trial Preparation and Trial Support for the Renovate Sterile Processing Services (SPS) Project at the Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center.

Included in Precision’s services for this project are Reviewing each component of each claim; Reviewing all supporting documentation and documentation procured as the result, and provide assistance in an extensive discovery process; Analysis of each claim to determine merit; Review of the contractor’s schedule analysis and preparation of an independent schedule analysis; The evaluation of contractor inefficiency; The evaluation of damages to the contractor and/or the VA; Analysis of Field Change Orders, Field Supplemental Agreements, Central Office Change Orders, and Central Office Supplemental Agreements, and Requests for Information to determine their effect on the project; Interviews of key VA personnel; Preparation of a summary statement of the analysis for use as a basis for the Contracting Officer’s decision; Meetings with appropriate personnel to discuss opinions and recommendations; Preparation of an expert report regarding the claim, analyzing each component of the claim, with regard to culpability.
