The Alamodome Renovations

The Alamodome Renovations project delivers a comprehensive upgrade to improve functionality, fan experience, and event adaptability at San Antonio’s premier stadium. With an estimated budget of $50 million, this work enhances both interior and exterior venue components. Efficient baseline schedule development was crucial for managing such a significant investment.

To start, the transformation of the Northern Plaza introduces a larger, more contiguous event space. This expansion allows for greater outdoor programming and smoother crowd movement between exterior and interior areas, improving the venue’s flexibility for a wide range of event types. Establishing a baseline in schedule development ensured smooth transitions between construction phases and event preparations.

Simultaneously, the project adds 18,600 square feet to the East and West concourses. These expanded areas include modernized concession spaces, designed to increase service speed, enhance food and beverage options, and support higher guest volumes.

Baseline Schedule Construction Development

As part of our scheduling services, we led the baseline schedule development process early in the project. This schedule outlined all major milestones and guided the sequence of construction activities to align with the venue’s event calendar. By developing a detailed baseline early, we helped minimize operational disruptions and supported informed decision-making throughout construction.

The renovation also integrates cutting-edge technology, including two new LED video walls and expansive ribbon boards. These upgrades significantly improve in-venue communication, fan engagement, and broadcast quality.

In addition, the facility gains a 24,000-square-foot multi-use space, offering flexible accommodation for VIP events, media functions, or exhibitions. This new space adds year-round usability and revenue potential. Effective baseline schedule development facilitated the timely integration of these versatile spaces.

A new visiting locker room enhances team accommodations and meets updated professional standards, positioning the Alamodome to host a broader range of high-profile sporting events.
