Awaiting Award – Project Bidding
Found a new project that suits you and our team? We wish you the best of luck during this process and stand ready to assist your team with developing an initial CPM schedule and proposal schedule. A proposal schedule outlines the full project scope at a generalized level, offering a broad overview rather than extensive detail. You can typically create these schedules quickly, depending on the project’s size.
Have you recently secured a new project? Congratulations! The next step involves determining whether you need a preliminary schedule or a baseline schedule. Often, project specifications differ, and the terminology can confuse even seasoned professionals.
Initial CPM Schedule Project Requirements
Understanding your owner’s requirements becomes crucial. For government or high-profile projects, you are more likely to require a preliminary schedule. Known informally as prelims, these schedules illustrate the initial 90 days of your project. They provide insight into the early stages and serve as the foundation for your overall project schedules.
Are you in a position where a preliminary schedule isn’t necessary, or has it already been developed? If so, you should proceed to create a baseline schedule. This schedule reflects the first 180 days of your project. While Baseline Schedules can incorporate cost-loading if requested, they offer significantly more detail than Proposal Schedules or Preliminary Schedules.
Baseline Schedule Assistance
If you have a baseline schedule but received owner comments that require revisions, don’t worry! You will need to produce re-baselines for any rejected schedules previously submitted. The turnaround time for a re-baseline depends on the project’s scope and the comments returned. Our consultants excel in helping clients finalize their baseline schedules and submit them for approval.
Our team requires the native XER schedule file, owner comments, and the project specifications or plans to begin. We work meticulously to ensure timely submissions and alleviate any stress from our clients.
