Precision Scheduling Consultants, based in Austin, TX, proudly provided Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling services for the Barbara Jordan Terminal Optimization Project (BJT)—Gate 13 Vertical Circulation. In partnership with Alpha Building Corporation, we contributed to a vital improvement initiative at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

Construction Project Scope

This project involved installing two new escalators and replacing existing stairs. These enhancements facilitate access between the Concourse Level and the Gate 13 hold room located at the Apron Level. Additionally, these changes will support a future bussing operation destined for ground loading gates at the existing Remain Over-Night (RON) areas of the apron. Importantly, the corridor will remain operational throughout the construction process.

Our Approach for the Barbara Jordan Terminal Optimization Project

To ensure efficiency and clarity, our scheduling team developed a detailed baseline schedule upon project initiation. This schedule included cost-loading, effectively representing the entire construction timeline. We employed Microsoft Project (MSP) according to contractual obligations, ensuring alignment with industry standards. Throughout the project, we remained focused on precision and transparency.

  2. Network Diagram Report: Our team produced a comprehensive network diagram report. This visual representation highlighted project relationships and timelines effectively.
  3. Longest Critical Path Report: We delivered detailed insights through our longest critical path report. Identifying critical tasks ensured timely project completion.
  4. Full-Schedule Gantt Chart Report: To enhance clarity, we supplied a full-schedule Gantt chart report. This chart facilitated easy tracking of project milestones and progress.
  5. Cost-Curve Report: We also provided a comprehensive cost-curve report. This analysis helped stakeholders monitor spending and manage budgets efficiently.
